To keep up with the changing world of computer and to keep my server skills somewhat up to date, I have ditched Debian and Qmail and am trying my implementation of CentOS and Scalix. So far so good. I really don't have much to say in here ever, but I have been on Facebook a bit recently, it seems a good way to stay in touch with Family I haven't talked to in ages.

     I have also tried my hand lately at playing with my new Nikon D80 camera with a 18-55mm lens and a 70-300mm lens. I have been doing some hiking at Red Rock and I am going to eventually post some photo galleries.

     I have also tried my hand at cooking recently and been making some really good meals while trying to watch what I eat. I must say, home cooking beats anything you make from a box.

     I passed the last test toward the Certification Program requirements, to get the Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Certification this morning! It entailed about 8 months of intense studying, but I was able to do it! Next will be the Cisco Certified Security Professional (CCSP) Certification.

     CES 2008 was awesome. I thought part of it was a car show. There were a lot of cool audio and video products for vehicles and some really cool new HD recording devices and a huge 150" Plasma TV Screen. There were also some really thing LCD TV's. It is amazing to see all the newest technology first hand before it is released for sale to the general public. This is a HUGE show and I am glad it went so nicely.

     CES 2008 is coming up January 7 - 10. I will be working on monitoring the networks there and have configured many of the networks for CES. It has been very exciting and I am looking forward to the show going off without a hitch. My girlfriend and I Zalena have been getting along great. Things have been very good and I have recently moved from an apartment to a house. I am still renting but I do hope to by soon. It is getting late and I must get some sleep now though.

     The content on my web page has not changed in a while. I don't suppose I have had much to say lately. I have not started my next certification studying yet, but I will be soon. Everything is going very nicely this year. I won a car and have a great woman in my life and a great new job this year.
